SWF

What's the latest with SWFs these days - especially those with NY offices (Mubadala, Temasek, GIC etc). How is comp/lifestyle compared to MM/UMM funds? Understand that a lot of these roles are co-invest/asset allocation etc.

Hey VP in IB - Gen, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:

More suggestions...

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.

Cash comp is matched to IB and MM/UMM PE.

WLB is 40-60 hours pw.

Significant perks and tax advantages if you move to a jurisdiction like Abu Dhabi (although this obviously comes with lifestyle disadvantages).

Key downsides are bureaucracy, some places will have nepotism and favouritism / glass ceilings based on nationality, and, most importantly, no carry.
