Switch from Corp. Fin to CIB (UK)

Hi, I recently joined a FTSE100 company on a grad scheme as FP&A. It was supposed to be an exciting opportunity, but it’s not really as they advertised it at first. Turned out to be a place where people go to retire and certainly not the best place to be if you are hungry for knowledge and exposure in your 20s. My question is would it be possible to move to CIB (more towards Corporate) after spending some time on the other side, mostly working on Working Capital or Capex projects with the Treasury team (who were the bridge between the department I work in and the banks)? I can try and have my second placement in Treasury, but from what I’ve heard so far it is unlikely as they will want us to focus more on Operational Finance (which is something I am not keen on).

I also have 2yrs+ in business development for a FTSE100 real estate company during my time as a student, so already have experience in relationship management.

Would really appreciate if you can share your thought/ experience or if you know/ work with someone who’s done this already.
