Switching from DCM to M&A – Feasible?
I am currently finishing my Master’s in Finance at a target university in Germany, with a good academic record. My background is in Sales & Trading, and I will be completing a DCM internship at a Tier-2 bank until the end of January 2026. I would be interested in transitioning into M&A starting January 2026. Given my experience, would such a switch be realistically achievable at comparable firms?
