Suppose one doesn't begin his/her IB career in LevFin, and lands in a coverage group at a BB. Is it possible to eventually switch into levfin 1-2 years down the road? Does anyone have any insight? Or, is levfin such a niche product group that as analysts/associates leave, teams usually only hire within levfin analysts? If not, what are some suggestions for one to switch into levfin?
