I interned at a BB last summer as a sophomore in a coverage group but want to lateral to a different group within the same bank that has a better reputation. For context I'm a target with a good GPA and performed well last summer, and the group I was in was mid tier but I'd ideally want to switch to a top tier one. Is it worth the hassle? Would it rub the firm the wrong way? Any advice?
