Switching Industry Groups as an Associate

Hey All,

Currently an Assocaite II in FIG. I'm currently at a LMM and beginning to think about lateralling at some point in the next 1 - 2 years as my current bank/group is pretty eh and we don't score a lot of Advisory / Lead-Left roles.

I definitely don't dislike FIG but there are a few other groups that interest me - mostly Tech & Consumer. At my level do yall think switching to a different industry coverage group while lateralling would be a tough move? I'd be open to getting set back a year (AS2 to AS1 or AS3 to AS2) if it felt like the perfect opportunity otherwise.
