Target School, but not undergrad
If i go to USC, UVA, or Michigan for their MAcc programs, will I have an opportunity to interview with BB firms for front office positions? I have Big4 as a backup.

maybe not USC, but UVA and Michigan definitely if you do their traditional MBA programs.
My question was if I go to their MAcc programs.
I know a couple guys from UT who are getting their Master's in accounting and looking to get into corp fin.
I know UT has #1 accounting program but I'm sure you'd have a shot at those places.
My accounting TA completed her MAcc at Michigan this year and ended up working for JPMorgan. A small percentage from Ross's MAcc do go into corporate finance/IB/consulting, while the majority, of course, go public accounting.
I got accepted to U.Va's MSA program, which is within McIntire for Fall 07. I talked to the undergrad kids that I knew from high school and they said that you can interview with the banks that recruit there.
Wake Forest offered a full scholarship so I chose to go there for the MSA...but now I'm kindof regretting it because only Bear recruits there.
I lied...Merril, BofA, and Wachovia recruit there -- but U.Va is better.
Is McGill University considered a target school?
Yes, you will have the opportunity. Definitely at Texas as well.
i am pondering whether to go to MS in accounting (Ross, UNC, U of Illionis) or MS in Finance (Vanderbilt, U of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U of Florida). which master's will serve my analyst goal the best? finance (non-financial engineering) or accouting?
Yea my goal is to get an analyst job through networking at a top MAcc school, and later getting my CFA
which Acc programmes do you consider TOP? which ones will help the most to get in touch with the BBs? Michigan? UNC? Texas?
