Targeting IB, serious advice/ help needed :)

Hi guys,

This is my first post here and I would like to get some kind of mentoring since Im sure about what professional carrer I want to persue but not really know about best path to it is. I would like to secure a job in investment banking and leverage my entrepreneurial and technological background.

I just finished college and tried to secure a place in a masters program (this one actually http://www.essec.edu/en/program/mscs/master-finan… ) but I got rejected because of my low GMAT score (540, only had a month to prepare). I have experience in business banking and brokerage since I worked these past summers in two large companies here in Spain. I also have experience since I tried for the last year to build my own technological start-up -ad-tech related- but I ran out of motivation and would like to persue higher goals and objectives.

Personally speaking, i think that the best way right now (since i have a free year) is to obtain my CFA level 1 certificate and upgrade my GMAT score and gain some experience abroad since I'm very interested in living abroad and gathering more information and experience in Asian markets (Singapore/ HK). I genuninely think that this is a good idea although I would gladly accept all kind of advice that would help me to have a wider perspective.

Thank you very much!

Kind regards
