Had a friend who worked there as a summer analyst. Did not like it. Very slow deal flow, shitty people, though he often got out of work really early which was a plus, haha. It'd be worthwhile as an internship if nothing else was available to you, my friend ended up taking a full time position at another bank.

I was talking to my boss where I work now, and she's been saying the opposite. That the hours are long, that they are the top BB in Canada, and that they are really competitive since they just bought Commerce.

That's pretty much a load of crap. For the past while, the top BBs in Toronto have been RBC Capital Markets and CIBC World Markets. They're also the two that tend to have decent success placing analysts in NYC after a bit.
