Team politics and dynamics

Currently interning at this EB, I am well aware of the fact that the quality of my work/ attitude is what will get me considered for the return, but on top of that their is also an aspect of team social dynamics.

In my team people don’t really go out for lunch, it’s the usual 2 analysts that go together and the rest eat at desk. Also the team is scattered across the floor. Was wondering what can be the best way to build stronger relationships other than the usual coffee chats ( which seem so forced honestly)

As well as this I am also finding out which people have more influence in the round tables but these people are usually reserved / don’t mingle with interns. How shall I go about with this situation ? Any advice will be really appreciated please
