Strong teams include PU&I (they rebranded to a different acronym), Mining, and I believe the Diversified team is decently strong too. PU&I and Mining are definitely strong in TO.
Have an upcoming interview with Energy, Infrastructure and Transition team in Toronto. Seems like a solid reputation with good deal flow. Was this group formerly named PU&I?
Some places yes, other places no. Project finance is technically raising new debt and equity for greenfield projects. This is completely different than infrastructure M&A, which I think the CIBC EIT team also does. So they are a bit of a combination of both.

Will echo this on PU&I. Andrew Fleming MD - good cat
Any views on culture and deal flow in CIBC’s EIT team?
Definitely the best team at CIBC. Lots of deal flow - they lead of the Clean Tech deals in Canada. Culture seems to be generally positive too.
How's the M&A team there?
Bump
Anyone have any info on the real estate team?
No deal flow at all
if theres no deal flow do they even hire interns

any insights into deal flow and culture on the M&A and FIG team at CIBC?

what’s your background if you don’t mind me asking? Saw this posting recently
Would prefer to DM you if you're good with that
Curious to know how the interview goes
Keep us posted
How did it go?
Bunch of stuff on DSCR, CFADs. Some high speed shit if you don't know PU&I techs. Talked a lot about project finance and what goes into P3 models
Any info on tech team there? Interested in tech and looking to move into tech banking.
Quite possibly the worst tech group in Toronto - no deal flow.
Have interviews for both EIT and M&A next week. M&A looks to be 20 minutes of pure technical. Anyone else have interviews coming up?
Just curious, on the workday page for CIBC are these roles marked as “Pending” for you?
Same thing happened to me not sure what it means
