Tech Deal Flow

How do you see the current state of the economy impacting deal flow in the middle-market technology sector?

How many deals would a typical analyst in this sector have executed (given the firm is decent) in any given past year and how do you think that might change for 2009-2011?

Anyone in a tech group or with any relevant information...

MM tech banks are getting raped right now for the most part because all the big guys are dipping deeper into the pool for smaller deals. Jefferies Broadview just laid off a ton of associates without severance. It's ugly at the BBs in tech (Citi closed up shop altogether out in SF), but not as bad as the MMs from most of what I've heard.
