Tech IB in SF vs FP&A at a tech company in a low COL

The ultimate goal is to get into Corp Dev/Strat at a tech company. I currently work in FP&A at a PE-owned EdTech company that will have a Corp Dev opening sometime in Q3 but just had a super day with a large MM IB in SF. I am trying to think through the best course of action if the MM IB makes an offer. Just a few details, I have been told I will be encouraged to interview for the Corp Dev spot once it opens up, I have no desire to live in SF but could grind it out for a year or two, and I would likely have to live outside the city (Berkely, Richmond, Oakland) for personal reasons. Any insight or advice is much appreciated!
