Technology Survey

I am curious to hear about the technology options and policies at various major banks. I will kick it off:

Bank: Wells Fargo Department: IB Windows version: XP (no timeline for Windows 7) Office version: 2007 (partial rollout, many people still have 2003) Desktop/laptop: Laptop only Remote login: must use corporate laptop only (no login from personal machines) Blackberry/iPhone: Blackberry, no option for iPhone iPads: Pilot program with a small number of MDs using iPads with software from Good Technology Content filtering: no access to personal email, social networking, many blogs, any forums (including this one), virtual presentation sites (e.g. WebEx), file sharing sites (including some client data rooms) Other comments: IT is housed within WF corporate bank, so even when complaints get escalated within IBCM there are no guarantees of timely results. People (especially MDs on the road) often resort to using personal computers/devices for business needs when workable solutions are not available.
