Telling Colleagues About Leaving

Just an incoming intern so was hoping for insights from people in the industry. Because of the nature of the banking industry people tend to have new jobs lined up before they finish their current one or are at least recruiting for new jobs while at their current one. (ex. IB -> PE or different firm intern -> FT) How transparent are people usually with those around them? Would you tell others in your analysts clas that you're close with or do you just keep it completely a secret?
