Temporary Blackberry (waiting for the Bold)

Blackberry question for you guys:

I'm holding out for the Blackberry Bold (being released in July) but I broke my BB (stupid) and need a "stopgap" device to hold me over until I can get the Bold in a month.

What's the best way to go about doing this? Pick up a shitty one second hand on EBay or something and use it for a month? Or just go ahead and get a new BB and put off the Bold until later?

Wow.. you really can't figure this out on your own? And you post this in ibanking because...? I feel like some people wouldn't be able eat, breathe, or sleep without first asking on WSO the proper way to do so.

Well the reason I asked is because I don't know how AT&T handles this kind of short term thing - I was hoping maybe someone else had experience with it.

I didn't get it - figuring I could be careful and save the monthly fee...oops.

  1. Buy a cheap one on ebay
  2. Switch your old sim card from the broken phone into the new one
  3. Follow the on-screen prompt to have the sim card & RIM service recognize the new blackberry
  4. Rinse and repeat in July.
