When looking up m&a comps to get TEV/EBITA on capIQ, i can't find the TEV (enterprise value) for many targets. Can I use the purchase price as a proxy? What about any premiums paid?

Isnt it a general rule of thumb that premiums will be roughly equal to goodwill + intangible assets?
