Thoughts on international intern program?
I recently came across a study/intern agency that seems to have good reviews and offers a wide range of programs to study as well as locations. For some context, I go to a nontarget school for undergrad in Massachusetts with a decent major gpa (3.7) and a low cumulative gpa (~2.9-3.0 due to having spent my first 2 years studying chemical engineering and hating it,). I have two internships under my belt, one of them being a private equity intern at a search fund.
this program offers a pretty wide range of internship placements, and I noticed that Shanghai has an investment-banking specific program:

My girlfriend lives in Shanghai, and I am currently networking for internships at regional boutiques in my area, so this seems like it might be a good idea. I know of at least one person who completed this program who went to a non-target school and now works for a large, well-respected firm.
What are your thoughts on this program for someone who's ultimate goal out of college is to break into investment banking at any level? (I'll happily start at a regional boutique and lateral my way up over the years)
Thanks.
