Thoughts on PEI Global?
Looks like an energy/infra-focused boutique - came across the company on linkedin and hadn't heard of it before. Seems like most seniors came from jefferies originally and then cantor fitzgerald P&U team before starting their own firm. Anyone have any insights into exit opps, W/L balance, dealflow, culture etc?
Solid shop, long hours, but great culture. If you’re into Infrastructure, this is a great place to be. I’ve seen analysts exit to MM PE, top MM banks, infra funds, but it‘s too small to really say where the exits are. It seems to be a lot about getting out what you put in.
Poached RBC’s renewables guy. Good sogn of activity
From the other side of the table, they seem solid. Should be a good place to be if you want to do MM infra/power/renewables.
Its a mediocre shop that isn't necessarily "solid" as the comments above indicate. If you want to do infra/renewable banking aim for the BBs (specifically GS/Citi/JPM) or specialized shops like Macquarie
Also poached VP/SVP from Guggenheim power team if I’m not mistaken
Oh yeah that’s really going to help an industry that’s headed into a crisis
why is power going into crisis? Conventional is going to huge under the new administration and with grid reliability concerns and the expansion of AI and data centers needed even more power. Agreed renewables though are crushed for a while with the new ITC rules but even then BESS will still be built coupled with gas peakers imo.
As someone who just lateraled into BESS yk what you are talking about
