Thoughts on REIB

Is it smart to recruit for REIB if I am not sure if I want to do real estate long term? Other than modeling questions and some of the behaviorals how is it different that recruiting generalist at most of the BB and EB? Lastly, is there a steady career in REIB beyond the analyst and associate years
