We all know how terrible it is that some students pay companies to work as an intern. Recently things have gone to another level. By paying 6k, the agency will help graduates find a full time IB role, which pays you a sweet 2.5k per month stipend for you to live in NYC.
What are your thoughts on this?

These are very likely scams and not worth it - any worthwhile BB or MM bank does not employ such recruiting strategies, and using those experiences on your resume will likely not help you either.
All these 'agencies' are doing are just preying on gullible students and candidates...sad
