Three Statement Modeling Test

Hi Everyone,

I did a search on 3 statement modeling tests but I didn't really come across what I was looking for. I have an interview coming up at a boutique IB in a little over a week and will have to complete a "skills assessment" - which is a 3 statement model. I know how all the statements link and have taken BIWS' modeling course, but I am unsure exactly how difficult this test will be (obviously it varies by firm).

Can anyone share their experiences with building an operating model as part of the interview process? Interested in hearing how difficult it was. If you have the actual model that you had to complete and could share it with me that'd be awesome.

I'd say my modeling skills are above average for someone who hasn't worked in the field but if it gets a little tricky I could easily get stumped with inputing some of the formulas (if you refer to the attached ER model document that I was asked to do for another interview last year I highlighted the part where I had trouble coming up with robust formulas that would follow all the rules for Product B). I think this modeling test is only an hour or so long so it probably won't be too hard - I'm guessing simple % growth rates and what not which is simple.

Thanks in advance.
