To those of you with cauliflower ear
How, if at all, has if affected your career?
Wrestled for awhile and have been doing jiu jitsu since a kid. I don’t have ears like Randy Couture. One ear isn’t too bad but my left ear is more like a Nick Diaz.
Wrestled for 8 years throughout middle school & high school — never been an issue. Sometimes people who also wrestled/bjj/etc notice and strike up a convo but that’s it
BJJ black belt with medium cauli on one ear. Never mentioned.
I honestly doubt people will notice it much especially since you only have it in one ear and most guys should know what it's from or people will assume it's a birth defect and not say anything. I'd continue to do your hobbies/fight, but try and protect your ears from progressing worse if you can.
Most will just assume you are a badass tbh
I have one rule in life.
Never get in fight with someone with cauliflower ears.
Has always gone well for me.
