Too many things to do!
Hey guys,
In this day and age where having more skills seems to make you more useful, does anyone have any advice on what skills/courses I should focus on in order to get into IB?
Courses done: 1. Finished WSP 3FS and DCF modeling 2. Passed CFA Level 1
Potential Courses: 1. Learning Python (No particular reason, just that I thought it would make me more attractive for research based roles which I could leverage into IB roles in the future) 2. Complete CFA 3. Finish all my WSP courses (comps/LBO modeling etc) -
Would love to hear what you guys did in order to get into IB (especially from those who come from non traditional backgrounds).
Cheers!

Python isn’t going to help you - no one in IB uses it and I wouldn’t expect that to drastically change in the near to medium term. Current MDs / Partners barely know how excel works (if at all) and I don’t think they’ll be looking to figure out how to code any time soon
