Are you actually a good student? Don't waste your ED on rice. The bar for colleges has dropped significantly compared to 5-6 years ago pre-covid, given that everyone in this generation has tiktok brain and is genuinely braindead and significantly less motivated. Assuming you don't chatgpt your essays, and actually put a nontrivial amount of thought into them, wharton is doable. My dumbass cousin got into wharton ED non-legacy last cycle and his stats were no better than yours.

I went to Rice - it's tough for me to gauge your chances without GPA, activities list, leadership, essay quality, etc. - no matter which T20 you apply ED to, it's much more than test scores nowadays, but can confirm Rice ED is less competitive than Wharton ED and your test score is solid for Rice ED. Also, Rice is an awesome school for Energy IB, especially if you want to stay in Texas, and they've added more resources to help students with recruiting, including an undergrad business school; I will caveat by saying that if you're going for NYC, Ivies, Duke, Michigan, NYU, etc. are probably better bets since most of the Rice alumni network is concentrated in Texas (although by choice, usually, if you want NYC you can get it, just will take more work compared to those other schools I listed)
