Top Tech Boutique vs. Consulting
I'm currently signed as a summer 2020 intern at a top tech boutique (one of LionTree, Raine Group, Allen & Co.)
I'm not looking to exit into PE, but rather into VC, PM/strategy at a FAANG or FAANG equivalent company, or a startup.
The thing is, the major consulting firms have started recruiting at my school. For exiting in this manner, would it be beneficial to re-recruit FT for MBB consulting, or would a FT top tech bank background be better? Any and all help would be really appreciated.
I've seen more exits from McKinsey to top VCs than those boutiques FWIW.
How do you all think MBB FT recruiting is going to look in the fall, given they typically hire more through FT than from internships?
