Top U.S. banks and groups for the semiconductor industry?
I'm a student on the East Coast interested in IB and the tech space, specifically chips. What banks in the U.S. have a track record of semiconductor deals? Do any banks have dedicated groups that often work with chip companies, or semiconductor equipment suppliers perhaps?

The same groups that dominate tech in general (Qatalyst, GSTMT, MS Menlo)

I know that MS hired Robert Lee from DB recently, that the tammy Kiely, cohead of tech at GS covers the sector
just wondering if there are multiple bankers at each of those firms?

apparently I deserve some monkey shizzz thrown at me... Misread the article. Lagos moved from DB to MS after Lee was hired by DB which was mentioned at the end of the article.

Would highly recommend not doing semi, no major deal is going to be approved given anti trust and us-China tension.

JPM Tech in SF is top in semi - it’s probably the groups speciality. Pankaj Goel is a rainmaker there. While MS/GS is higher over on tech, JPM has by far the most exp. Contrary to what others are saying, Q/MS/EVR doesn’t really do semi that much. GS is second here in terms of semi deal flow.
Yeah I wouldn’t assume MS, GS, and Qatalyst dominate the semi market. Chips are far different than say a SAAS company. It’s advanced technology manufacturing
