Career Resources
Instead of telling the MD your situation, go talk to your school. Be honest and tell them you may have an opportunity to further your career through a summer internship at the boutique. Say you were a bit pressed for time in making the decision and would like some time to think about the options. Stress that you feel this is a critical choice that has a significant impact on future opportunities. I'm sure they'll understand since schools want their students to gain employment out of college.
Hey Determined, Thanks for the response. The school knew about this opportunity and told me they would give me time to get it figured out but since it took so long they told me I had to make a decision or they were gonna have to go find someone else, so I did what I had to do. If i were to tell them then they will probably go find someone else since there are a lot of people that want my position and I don't want to lose everything for the summer
