MBA --> IB Associate --> MM PE or MBA --> LMM PE/Co-Invest PE where you can spin your experience.
Many (even some in megafund pe) would love to join a good LP especially as the economy looks increasingly uncertain. Don't switch just because you think the grass is greener on the direct investment side. I can assure you it is not!
