Transitioning from Big 4 Modelling & Valuation to IB

Hi All,

I'm a senior consultant in a modelling/valuation practice at a Big 4 accounting firm. I'm looking to transition into an IB role, and was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to go about landing interviews? I'm an expat so I have a small network here in NY.

Thank you!!

I did the exact same move a few months ago, although I was an analyst right out of college for one of the big four valuation groups. Very doable - keep reaching out to people (cold email, friends that work in banking, make friends in banking etc...) People on here might make it seem like a hard switch, but as long as you put in the time and effort to recruit you can get in for sure. Also, it helps a lot that you are in the New York office, capitalize on that geography.
