tremendous choice...what should i do?
i am technically a senior who could graduate in may. i discovered an interest in finance over this past summer. needless to say, i struck out with ft recruiting this past fall.
anyway, i just landed an sa stint with a top-tier bb firm. given how much ft hiring will likely suck, should i go ahead and take the offer, thereby delaying graduation a few months (a huge risk i think). my other option is to finish up, do something else, and try my luck at ib in the future.
what do you think?
FT hiring will likely "suck" for a while yet, take the internship and keep the faith with the mighty Blues!
take it. bust nuts. get FT offer.
work hard get the FT offer!
delaying graduation is not a huge risk. not having a job after you graduate is a huge risk. take the SA spot and get the FT offer. most of the FT hiring for banks will come from the SA pool anyways.
