UBS or Barclays for SA London

Hi Guys,

Got offers for both, kind of in doubt as I liked people at both and both banks have certain strong groups. Don't have insights into which groups I will be placed in as of this point. What are your views?

So for M&A I see Barclays above UBS, but UBS has closed more deals. Last year UBS did 'better' than Barclays in this. How should I base my choice off of this? Not really a fan of all the circle jerk league table things. I don't know what the size difference in IB workforce in EMEA is so what does this tell me? I agree Goldman vs Barclays will show difference in the league tables but given the yearly variance and impact 1 mega deal could have I feel I should be looking at more? Don't have stats on all products, but in a sector team I would obviously also work on all products so those league tables might be a better indicator.
