UBS/DB for corp devi
I am just wondering how UBS/DB or top MM's are viewed for Fortune 500 corp dev roles, particularly in the tech space. Would UBS TMT or DB TMT be enough if my goal is corp dev or corp strategy as my exit out of IB?
Avoid UBS TMT like the plague. Not sure about DB TMT, but UBS TMT is a god damn sinking ship and the new senior bankers cannot bring in any revenue. You will be pitching all day.
Agree with above, UBS TMT lost just about every MD last year. Would not recommend for reasons beyond exits.
I think DB TMT should be good enough for corp dev roles, if you're not getting enough traction you can lateral to a "top" group. But typically corp dev/strategy is less focused on group prestige in general.
