Do UBS and Deutsche get MF looks? What about UMM PE? Any groups specifically?

Yes, I've seen it. I think your school matters though. All the ones I've seen were HYP type schools.
Cannot speak to DB but was at UBS (recently) and can confirm I got interviews at all MFs I expressed interest in. I didn't come from a particularly impressive school either. I will say I was in one of the stronger groups though so that may have been a factor.
Mind sharing which group? Assuming either LF/FS, FIG, TMT or GIG if you’re saying one of strongest but curious as to which exactly
Have personally seen college friends move from Deutsche to UMM. Haven’t heard of anyone going to MF
Fairly common to see MF/UMM exits in LDN, unsure of the landscape stateside.
Not common but yes. Someone from my semi-target went to UBS then Thoma/Vista.

For those saying you get UMM/MF groups, were these from the stronger groups at the bank (TMT, FIG, GIG, LF)? Received return offer last week for the end of the internship and interested in UMM/MF but debating whether to recruit again for FT or not to have better odds of UMM/MF placement.
m&a and lf/sponsors are easily the best 2 groups at the bank. gig and fig are sweatshops and are slightly above average. tmt isn't good anymore after svb took all senior bankers
Are you an analyst there? Incoming for 2023 and have heard that lf/sponsors and FIG are strong but that m&a isn’t too good at ubs. Have also heard that while coverage groups are sweaty, they end up being better than the product teams cause ubs does in house. Curious to know this before going through placements next year. Also, would these product and the coverage groups you mentioned still get UMM or MF looks for recruiting or not really?

DB barely places to MF unless you’re diversity, some UMM exits. Best groups are Sponsors and Lev Fin.
