UK Government is strongly considering scrapping the cap on banker bonuses

This ban applied to "material risk takers" and limited their bonuses to 2x their base. This cap is a vestige of EU regulations. Some other sources suggesting a lot of MDs are against this, since it will result in lowered base and that this will primarily harm below average MDs the most.
