The Bristol tracker averages 1000+ views per day, and when a bank opens an IB summer on LinkedIn, more than 100 people click the link within the first 1 to 2 hours.
Is everyone else experiencing the same thing?

I applied for an OC a few weeks ago in a vertical that probably 10 out of 1000 people qualified for, including myself.
It opened on Friday and closed on Monday.
Interviewer said they never seen so many applicants for this posting, majority of them being completely crap (I think they were interviewing 4 or 5 people).
I'm 100% convinced people are just spraying endless applications without thought, same with a different SA that I did an AC for: majority of people walk in to the AC with literally zero prep as if they fell out of the sky lol. I was crap by my own standards but boy did I have to lead the case study because the rest of them, well... they didn't even know what some of the line items on the pro-forma income statements meant. The pool of applicants is diluted, resulting in pure luck being the mechanism for selection to a VI or AC at that point because how can you differentiate 1000 people with varying levels of experience for a SA role that doesn't need experience.
