[UK Non-Target] [KCL] Chances for IBD and tips for improving them

Hi,

I'm going to study a non-finance course at King's College London [Politcs-related] and was wondering whether it is still possible for me to be succesful in securing internships/full-time positions at the likes of GS/JP/MS within IBD. If so, what can I do to maximize those chances while at uni?

I've heard that KCL is a non-target in the UK despite it's not-too-bad reputation in other industries so any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for reply!

I know that there are many other banks but just wanted to know about possibilities in general As to a part-time job, could you be a little more specific as to what I could find? I've been looking for job adverts for weeks now and there's nothing remotely related available to 1st year undergrads and nothing in finance especially.
