UK work experience programmes value?

I’ve seen many D+I initiatives offering these insight days/week long experiences at a company all over websites. These are typically aimed at Yr11-13 (age 15-18) and wanted to see some opinions on whether they are of some value. Is this a common thing in other countries as well?

These programs may not be common in other countries, but they add significant value when applying to spring programs. Despite this, they are by no means a requirement for gaining admission to a spring program. However, while reviewing CVs for spring interns at my bank this year, I was quite surprised to see a few candidates with such deep insights into firms at such a junior age.

If you fulfill D&I requirements, these pre-university programs can be a great way to demonstrate an interest in banking and an understanding of the role. Additionally, I am sure some of them serve as pathways into spring programs. Ultimately, their usefulness depends on how much you leverage them.
