UMD vs IU business school undergrad for Wall Street
I've been accepted into both UMD's and IU's business schools but am having trouble deciding. The cost is essentially the same at both schools and I prefer Maryland's location more. My only concern is that jobs on Wall Street, specifically Investment Banking, may be harder to obtain (nearly impossible?) at Maryland. How big is the difference honestly? What's my shot?
There is a difference. IU places much more regularly as a semi-target. Far fewer UMD grads in NYC. See some in DC boutiques and lower MM shops, but less so as you move upward in deal size.
So it's a pronounced difference then. Also, does semi-target refer to mid-tier? Do people from Indiana find it easy to find their way to Wall Street?
