The SM HF model is broken, would much rather hit most pods than tiger cubs at this point. Been covered extensively on the HF forum

Think it’s really dumb to just put “consulting” in there, like what type of consulting?? Mgmt consulting isn’t the only consulting out there yk, and I’d argue that changes the consulting rankings quite a bit. Also what’s with the million ranking on this forum recently?

Yea I feel like RX consulting especially should get atleast a little respect on here, it's really not MBB or bust, they don't even operate in the space.

Whoever MS'd please explain why. Goldman S&T is objectively a better outcome out of undergrad than UBS IB.

1) Apollo doesn’t have an undergrad program for flagship PE, only FIG PE, which isn’t comparable to NAPE/BCP/KKR APE. Warburg should be the 4th MF here.

2) No pod program is on par with MF PE programs given churn and pod placement risk; kids take EVR/CVP FT over the CAP return and P72 takes 70 kids a year. Also Baly just started its FE internship and MLP makes you train for a year at UBS ER. These are good programs, but nobody is taking them over BCP

3) saying the SM model is broken as justification for pods >= MF PE is stupid because the model is broken for allocators, not IP. Nobody is saying Avantyr is a better platform than p72, but it’s a much better seat

4) other than that it’s probably a pretty good list, there’s still stratification within tiers (PJT/EVR RX will have dif outcomes than CVP RX). I’m less familiar with the desirability of seats below MS but this looks directionally right

Two friends of mine took bofa and ghl over a pod. Don’t believe this ranking is accurate at all. One of them turned down caps the other p72.

The Vista analyst program is mostly sourcing, so imo it isn’t as great as the WP seat. I’d argue the WP seat is the best MF seat from undergrad given it’s a 3 year total program with upward mobility, and the analyst exits are just as good as the BCP analyst exits (also, BX screws you a bit on pay).

P72 is so much better, you compete for limited spots to return with a sea of kids that wrote ER based pitches.

Not to mention you get to potentially make millions 2 year out of undergrad because every p72 kid is basically the next George Soros.

The academy program is also the best, who wouldn’t like to do another 8 month of classes and exams?
