I'm sure there are exceptional cases out there but coming out of a finance role at a BB either you land a finance role at a F500 then pivot to strategy or go to consulting and pivot to strategy. Unless you have a certain skill along with your knowledge of finance e.g. you speak 7 languages and go become an interpreter

I've seen people go work for the NFL and NBA in finance roles after working as analysts in IB. You could also go work for a company like Netflix in their content acquisition group. As far as becoming an agent or something sexy, I've never heard anything along those lines.
What does content acquisition do all day? Is the works similar process-wise to M&A?
I'm not knowledgeable enough to know - other than they price shows/movies.
