Undergrad B-School to Banking, where do you start?

If you have a BS Wharton finance degree and work for a BB, do you start off as a first year analyst just like kids from liberal arts schools or do you get more advanced standing. Also, I heard only 30% of Wharton grads go back to get their MBA, so does that mean an MBA isn't required to transition from an analyst to an associate?
