Undergraduate engineering and finance internships

Hey,

I'm a mechanical engineering major at a very well-ranked school (HYPSM), and I've been finding that finance interests me much more than engineering work which has become increasingly boring. Is it possible for me to get a respectable finance internship next summer, maybe with a BB? I've been taking lots of finance courses -- I plan to minor in it. I want to stay a MechE major though; would this harm my chances with finance? I got a 2400 on my SAT if that matters.

Thanks!

Look, you go to MIT, so obviously you're smart. Just show them that you have a personality and you have an interest in finance and you're set.

What pink said, and also if you've noticed there are dozens of topics around this forum with the title somewhat along the lines of "OMG ENGINEER -> BB IBD CAN DO PLZHELP SO CONFUSED!!!!"
