Undergraduate internship advice wanted

Hey everybody

I'm currently an undergraduate student in the Netherlands at what you could call a target-school. I have the opportunity of doing either a HF or PE internship this summer. I want to go into IB after graduating, and maybe go down the IB-PE road in the future.

Would a buy-side internship hurt my chances of getting into IB? And what are the advantages of going straight into PE instead of passing through IB first?
