Obviously we are all paid decently on paper, but things could go awry when bonus actually arrives.
Sometimes base could be low as well.

I know for a fact that RayJay is dirt cheap. A friend of mine works there. Bad (won't count it as brutal) hours and almost no bonus. I think he got 10K last year.
In IB? That’s hilariously awful. I worked with some of their team and they always sounded desperate to lateral.

RJ and WF should also get a break for COL imo. I know it’s possible to be in NYC for both but that’s not where most analyst are.

Okay. Given how sweaty (that's what I heard) they are, should be paying more. It really makes people wonder if IB is worth it compared to FAANG SWEs.

Going to second this. The difference is more noticeable at the Associate level. Lazard pays like a Bulge but has boutique hours

As an incoming SA, my pay is 85k prorated. Not sure what analysts get as bonuses tho.

Seems like most of the BBs don't pay very well. Based on this are Citi/BAML/CS the best paying BBs? Wild to me that they're leaders in comp given the reputation they have.

Nah sorry, meant that I've seen a bunch of threads on here about analysts complaining how shitty comp is at BAML (outside of that recent base bump) and Citi. CS is the exception to that, I've heard they do comp well.
