Unpaid internship background check?

Hi guys:

recently, i've received an offer with a pretty big company in finance, and I was wondering how the background check would go? I have 1 unpaid internship in the past that I don't have any pay slips for. However, when I applied to jobs in the past, I have gone through the back-ground check process just alright after I provided the HR with my boss's name and contact information.

My concern is that my current offer is with a company that's much bigger than the ones I've applied to before. Will its background check process be much more rigorous? Since it was an unpaid internship, I don't have any tax forms for it. I have a letter (signed by my boss) that said I have worked there during that time period and mentioned the job functions (which match the ones on my resume), will that suffice?

Thank you so much guys! I know this might be trivial, but it's a tough market there and I just want to make sure that my offer is safe.

Thank you so much!

you have nothing to worry about. you have a letter and even though it was an unpaid internship, a background agency can somehow find some record of you working there in the past.

Really, man, really? don't you understand that it's because of those high school internships that you landed in BB? Everyone knows high school internships are important and it's a must you want to land a gig.

In all seriousness though;NO,why would you even do that? don't mention HS school internships because no one cares. Congrats on the BB though, maybe you can make a post on successful monkeys board.
