Updated info on groups at RBC NY - incoming intern

Will be joining RBC next summer in NYC as an investment banking summer analyst, but have no clue at all what groups are the best for me. I don't think I have much interest in Lev Fin, FIG, Energy, or Power and Utiilities. That being said, what are some of the better groups for each of the following categories?: 1) Culture (associates/vp willing to help out analysts, MDs just genuinely nice people as opposed to cut throat) 2) M&A deal work instead of capital raising/financing/IPO deals 3) Exit opps

Cheers

all of the groups you menthioned are their strongest groups

M&A is building fast as well and CME has really heavy deal flow / great pay.

FIG does a ton of M&A

Energy is really strong both Houston and nyc

Sponsors / LevFin are great for exits based on where people have gone recently

Feel free to PM I can help more
