Upward feedback thoughts

Has anyone given upward feedback as an analyst and had it received well?

I have a VP who I generally like as a person and gave me a good review this cycle. However, they get away with doing very little and it’s often very disruptive to all the analyst and associate workflow. When I send them something to review they often call me within 10 minutes of receiving it and starts chatting for 30-45 minutes with unclear and non-cohesive comments that will either get scrapped later with contradictory comments or shut down by an MD. If we’re on a fire drill or time sensitive work, I’m all for doing a live review but they will do this with practically every single work stream whether it’s time sensitive or not. This is unbelievably frustrating if I’m working on a separate deal or work stream that is time sensitive and I just wasted 45 minutes talking about a task that’s doesn’t need to be done for a week.

They are the only VP in our group that is like this and it is a very much a shared opinion among the junior bankers.

All I want to is that they send me comments via email or at least take 30 minutes to digest what I sent them, so we can be more efficient.

Should I speak up or keep my mouth shut? If I stay on till associate this will still be a present issue.
