I opened this thread with the sole intention of helping out a guy who seemed really desperate and had a very good opportunity afforded to him. And I mean desperate in a good way, as in hustling to take advantage of something.

However after viewing your resume, I noticed that there really is no chance anything comes from this. I don't me to be harsh, and I am definitely not trying to be an asshole but there are a few things you should know.

You really shouldn't be contacting people at the top BB since you have no relevant experience at all. You graduated from a non-target and have a pretty average resume for someone who attended a non-top tier school. The current format of your resume is pretty horrid and you have not elaborated well on any experience or noteworthy accomplishment.

I would suggest getting some other degree (MBA, MFinance) and then attempting to break in. To be completely honest, you are wasting this guys (the MD) time, as well as your own.

"Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill you. That's not a threat, that's a fact.

Addendum:

You have a solid GPA and some good non-finance experience so maybe a Masters of Finance or MBA is in reach. If you can convince the adcoms that you have an interest in finance (though some sort of unpaid internship or finance-type experience) then you could have a future in this.

Again, I apologize if I'm being harsh but I am just trying to save you time and have you focus your efforts in the long run. Even networking at this point is likely to yield nothing because of the severe lack of experience.

And as for the resume:

1) Take of the community college. Having that on there is suicide most of the time. Trust me. 2) Get rid of the major GPA as it is not much different from your regular GPA. 3) Get a different template, this one is pretty bad. Try mergersandinuisitions.com 4) Cut down on the useless bullet points about summarizing shit. Tell how you ANALYZED something. Or something that required thought and analysis as opposed to reading and regurgitating 5) Add an interests section 6) Put the computer skills on one line 7) Expand on your experiences. Just by reading your resume I would think you're a freshman in college due to the overall lack of experience and focus on immaterial things such as soccer referee. That should not be a resume highlight.

Good Luck.

I assume this is not your resume, as the other topic you have posted has another resume attached.

You new members need to upload these resumes in PDF format. This resume shows up Silent Guardian as the header. Is that you?

PS - Stop posting multiple topics in different subforums. One is enough for the Resume Review subforum. I'm still confused why this topic has a different resume than the other you have up.

I think there's confusion over my resume... the one you are referring to clearly is not mine.

That resume was clearly not mine, and I have never heard of someone like that, not sure how exactly my post got modified.

I re-updated it, hopefully it will work this time.

Lol, ok. The new one is much better. I don't see any real weaknesses to it. Good luck
