Urgent: Need Help with Being Cornered
SA at a top BB (JP/MS/GS) in London. Hit it off really well with a VP and MD who are now pressuring me to join their group. Problem is that group isn't really something I want to do, it's one of the niche sectors and I don't see my career headed in that direction. My favourite group isn't extremely extremely popular so I feel I do stand a chance.
After speaking to them and constantly reminding them that my top choice would be this other group, despite how much I like them, I feel like they're really cornering me into joining the group. It's not anywhere on my choices, so I feel they might want me to speak to HR. How do I get out of this situation?
